BFRB: Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors | 1 CE Credits | $15

This training offers a comprehensive introduction to Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), providing essential knowledge on the diagnosis, symptoms, and treatment options available for clients. Participants will explore effective, evidence-based treatment strategies currently used to help individuals manage and reduce BFRBs, such as hair-pulling (trichotillomania) and skin-picking (excoriation). Through the use of case study, clinicians will have the opportunity to apply their newly acquired knowledge and practice implementing these strategies in real-world scenarios.

Ideal for beginner clinicians or those unfamiliar with BFRBs, this training does not require any prior experience with these behaviors. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the foundational understanding and practical skills to confidently address BFRBs in their clinical practice, improving client care and outcomes.

Training objectives:
  1. Identify the diagnostic criteria for BFRBs
  2. Learn current and effective treatment models for BFRBs
  3. Practice implementation of assessment and treatment planning
